The well-engineered Sprinter van from Mercedes-Benz provides Royale, a Sprinter Master Upfitter, with a solid platform for conversion to a special-needs Sprinter Paratransit, Sprinter Wheelchair or Sprinter Ambulette Van. The Royale Paratransit Shuttle is designed and tested to meet all applicable FMVSS requirements and can be equipped in a variety of ways to meet the needs of disabled and handicap passengers, from wheelchair and mobility scooter lifts to custom interior seating, storage racks for a variety of medical devices, and more. And the 265 lb-ft of torque from the 4-cylinder diesel engine allows Sprinter Wheelchair, Paratransit and Handicap Vans to easily handle substantial loads with Mercedes Benz fuel efficiency.
The van’s 170-inch wheelbase provides room for oversized entry doors while delivering a smooth ride, and allows for a range of seating configurations to accommodate up to 14 passengers. The 74 inches of headroom gives passengers and attendants the interior space needed to maneuver with ease, while the strong Mercedes Sprinter chassis allows for a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of up to 11,030 lbs.
